Cybill Shepherd to star in ABC comedy pilot!

Cybill Shepherd has landed the lead role in ABC’s comedy pilot My Freakin’ Family.

The project centers on young parents Anna (Ellen Woglom) and Raj (Ravi Patel), whose lives change after they have a baby boy and the four grandparents with very different cultural backgrounds descend upon their lives. Shepherd will play Raj’s uptight and sophisticated mom, Nell.

Cybil’s character dresses in the traditional Indian garb and wants to be involved in baby Clark’s life so he doesn’t turn out “white” like her son did.

Cybil recently defended stars who get plastic surgery.

“People should be free to do whatever they want to do,” she said.

“More women and men are doing it now so we all need to accept and understand that.

“I personally haven’t because I’m scared of what it might look like afterward but I really don’t think others should be criticized for doing it.”
