Zooey Deschanel tells fibs during interviews!

The actress, 31, says nothing infuriates her more than when someone pre-empts her point of view so she often makes up answers.

“If someone has an idea how I am going to answer something and already has an angle on what they are going to write about I know it right away and that makes me feel so uncomfortable and just makes me want to rebel,” says the 500 Days of Summer star.

“I don’t like leading questions that are telling me how I feel. I don’t like that and I also don’t like it when people make statements disguised as questions which are also leading me.”

Zooey recently revealed she hates having to play “kooky best friend” in movies.

“Every actor’s known for being good at certain types of role. I think maybe for a little while, it was OK. I didn’t necessarily want to do that all the time; it gets a little bit boring,” she said.

“There are other things I can do well but I feel like I’ve been very lucky to have been able to play all the different roles that I have.

“I’m not going to use a singing take that I don’t like… but when you’re acting you’re totally at the mercy of someone else. They can cut you together to make your timing totally different.

“They can cut two takes and manipulate you, which is an incredible thing in many ways because they can make you look better, or they can make you look worse. In the end, I do not have control over what’s on screen which is very terrifying.”
