Bret Michaels suing over Tonys accident!

Bret Michaels has sued CBS and the Tony Awards over an accident that he claims caused a near-fatal brain haemorrhage.
The Poison frontman suffered a subarachnoid brain haemorrhage six months after being hit by scenery while performing at the 2009 ceremony. He claims to have been rushed to hospital with a broken nose and a cut lip immediately after the incident.
TMZ reports that Michaels has since sued the network, Tony Award Productions and others for contributing to the blow by failing to instruct him on how to exit the stage safely, and allowing to walk into what he described as a "danger zone".
The Celebrity Apprentice star further stated that producers had "failed and refused" to remedy the situation, and had directly blamed him for causing the life-threatening mishap.
Legal papers filed by the star at LA County Superior Court claim: "One of the most common causes of this type of haemorrhage is head trauma - exactly like the one Michaels suffered at the hands of the Tony Awards."
The suit adds: "Through his sheer will to live, to see his children grow up, [Michaels] was able to survive this trauma."
Commenting on the decision to broadcast Michaels's accident live, the rocker's attorney Alex Weingarten told Hollywood News: "The Tony Awards dropped a piece of the stage on Bret's head, and then instead of doing the right thing, joked about it and played it off for ratings.
"Bret never wanted to file a lawsuit, but the Tony Awards have left us with no choice. They must be held accountable for almost killing Bret, and that is what we are going to do."
Michaels is seeking unspecified damages over the incident. Representatives for CBS and the Tony Awards have yet to comment on the lawsuit.
