Jessica Simpson has revealed how she juggles her personal and professional life.

“It all works together,” she said. “I really don’t look at myself as just one thing. I’m kind of scattered and like to have my hands in a lot of different projects. It makes me who I am. It’s what defines me.

“What I wear, what I sing, the songs I write, the projects I choose all have to represent Jessica Simpson. I wouldn’t take certain jobs if they were to take away from the positive role model that the Jessica Simpson Collection has allowed me to establish…because this is my number-one priority.”

Simpson recently revealed she would “definitely” love to be a judge on the US version of The X Factor.

The singer-and-actress is one of a number of stars being considered to join Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid on the panel when the show launches Stateside and the blonde beauty admits the opportunity would be a “lot of fun”.

“They have definitely talked to me about X Factor,” Jessica said. “I think it would be a lot of fun. It’s definitely my life. To be a mentor for up-and-coming artists is right up my alley. I would have loved to have a mentor. I love watching people’s dreams come true.”
