Seth Green not angry with Disney!

Seth Green doesn’t hold a grudge.

The actor has defended Disney’s decision to remove his voice from their new animated movie Mars Needs Moms.

Although Seth did the motion capture to create the animated movements of the film’s lead character, 9-year-old Milo, the filmmakers decided that after listening to Seth’s voice-overs, he sounded too much like an adult, and not like the young boy in the film and stripped his voice from the project.

But Seth insists he’s OK with the decision and said that he “hasn’t been replaced.”

“The movie was made in the same way that Avatar and A Christmas Carol were, through performance capture film-making,” he said on his Facebook page.

“The other actors and I performed the entire movie in skin-tight velcro suits in a massive empty volume with hundreds of cameras recording our digital information.”

Seth went on to say that he’s proud of his performance, and it was always the plan to re-voice the animated child with someone closer in age.

“Since I’m a 37-year-old man playing a 9-year-old boy, it was always expected we’d get a real kid to re-record (my character) Milo’s dialogue, and that’s what we did,” Seth said.

“A great young actor named Seth (great coincidence, no?) Dusky recorded every line over my vocal performance, using it as a guide for his. He did a fantastic job,” he added, referring to his 11-year-old costar.

Mars Needs Moms centers around Milo, who only realizes how much he needs his mom after Martians come to lift her away to outer space to raise their own young.

“If we’ve done our job well, you won’t think about me at all when you watch you’ll only see this young boy on the adventure of a lifetime,” Seth’s Facebook statement concluded.
