Robert De Niro Midnight Run sequel?

Robert De Niro is up for another Midnight Run at the grand age of 67.
The Godfather II star is in talks to star in a sequel to his much loved 1988 hit in which he played a bounty hunter charged with capturing a corrupt accountant played by Charles Grodin.
“That was a character that I liked a lot,” says Robert.
“They’re working on it, and that’s something that I would have fun doing. I think this time it would be not Charles’ character but his son who is in trouble.”
Robert recently insisted that, despite his many years making movies, he doesn’t have carte blanche to do as he pleases when it comes to projects.
De Niro notes the troubles and delays he experienced with The Good Shepherd, the 2006 CIA tale that he directed and starred in, saying doubts he could make a similar film now. He says people don’t really want to do “those kind of movies” nowadays.
Still, De Niro says he does have a choice of roles that other actors would envy and that he “can’t complain.”
