Jennifer Hudson says her assistant Walter is her gay best friend.
“My assistant Walter is going to kill me for this, but whatever,” she said in an interview with The Advocate.
“Walter and I have been friends since sixth grade. He’s by far my closest friend and my closest gay friend ever.”
Hudson was then asked if she ever gets star struck around other entertainers.
“I don’t often get star struck, but once in a while I still do. Recently I met R. Kelly for the first time and I was star struck. Or when I met Whitney Houston for the first time. And Beyoncé obviously.
“But other than that it’s just nice to meet everybody, but sometimes I do have those moments.”
Hudson recently revealed she flew home from South Africa for one day because she missed her son.
The 29-year-old star whose mother Darnell Donnerson was murdered in October 2008 along with her brother Jason Hudson and seven-year-old nephew Julian took a break from shooting Winnie Mandela biopic Winnie to return to the US because she wanted
to see 19-month-old David and knew her mum would have done the same thing when she was a child.

“That’s things my mother would have done. Everything I do, I do from example, like, ‘What she would have done for us.’ “
