James Taylor injured in Utah!

James Taylor, the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, has broken his leg and injured his shoulder during a ski vacation with his family in Utah.

Taylor fractured his leg Monday on the first day of the vacation in Utah, his assistant confirmed via email to the Associated Press news agency.

Taylor had doctors fashion a splint that would allow him to keep skiing.

Taylor was among 20 artists, scholars and writers honored by President Barack Obama at the White House earlier this month in a salute to the arts and humanities.

Back in 2008, Taylor pledged to live a healthy life after dying five times.

“By some stroke of luck, I didn’t end up with any of the diseases that my behaviour should’ve given me,” he said.

“I should’ve died about five times. So I’ve used up all my chances. I have to take it easy now and keep fit, keep healthy.”
