Courtney Cox Cougar Town her saving grace!

Courtney Cox says Cougar Town has been her “saving grace” following her split from husband David Arquette.

The 46-year-old actress is currently separated from her Scream costar hubby and is channeling her energy into her hit sitcom.

“I love it and I love playing Jules,” says the mother-of-one of her TV role.

“She’s up for anything and it’s really nice to play a character who is not a prude in any way. She’s just really honest and open and she’s fun.

“There have been times when I’ve been asked if I need to take a break but I say, ‘No. Thank God for the show. It’s my saving grace!”

Cox recently insisted she still has “strong feelings” for Arquette.

“I don’t know what the future holds, and I guess, because I still have strong feelings for David, … I’m his biggest protector. I can’t help it,” she said.

“Most guys aren’t mature, are they? … If you know who David is, you know what his intentions are, how honest he is, and how big his heart is … You can’t really get mad at David because he’s not a malicious person.”
