Charlie Sheen returning Two and a Half Men?

Charlie Sheen’s former bosses at CBS are desperately trying to convince him to return to Two and a Half Men, according to reports.
The 45-year-old actor who was fired from the sitcom earlier this month for insulting producers and for his general wild drug-fueled behavior is reportedly being pursued by chief staff at the TV network which makes the show because they want him back.
Although Charlie is involved in a public feud with program creator Chuck Lorre calling him “Chucky Cheeseball” and “s**tbrain” CBS president and CEOLes Moonves has now intervened.
“Moonves told Chuck Lorre that he should ‘let us handle Charlie’,” a source said.
However, getting the series back on track could be difficult as Charlie recently blasted his costar Jon Cryer in the mistaken belief he has issued a statement against him.
“Like I said, you’re with me, or you’re with the trolls,” he said.
“Jon has not called me. He’s a turncoat, a traitor, a troll. Clearly he’s a troll. He issued a statement. Is it gonna take me calling him a ‘traitor, juvenile and scared’ for him to get it?
“What’s there to say? I’ll tell him, ‘You’re a little late. Goodbye, troll.’ When I’m starring in multimillion-dollar films and he’s begging me for a supporting role I’ll say, ‘You left me out in the cold with all of your guilt and stupidity.’ ”
Meanwhile, Charlie reportedly had a meeting with CBS rival FOX recently where a group including Mike Darnell, President of Alternative Entertainment for FOX andPeter Rice, Chairman of Entertainment for FOX Networks Group, discussed possible projects for Charlie, including a late night show.
