Bradley Cooper put career before Renee Zellweger!

Renee Zellweger’s romance with Bradley Cooper crumbled because the actor kept putting his career first.

“If I had to pick any possible mistress it would be Brad’s career,” a source told Us Weekly magazine.

“He worked really hard to get into leading man status.

“Renee had to take a backseat. She traveled with him to make it work.

“She’s accomplished a lot of her professional goal. So Renee took some time out to be a great girlfriend and see if this is what it took to make a relationship work.

“But she stopped fighting. It was just not working out.”

Previous reports claimed the couple decided to end their romance because Cooper didn’t want to settle down.

“They were such a great couple that we are all shocked,” a source told the PopEater website.

“We all thought for sure they were going to be together forever after they moved in together last fall we’re really sad.”

Renee even skipped the Golden Globes in January to be with Bradley when his father died.

“But after that she wanted a ring, and he just wasn’t ready to propose,” the source said.

Cooper split from wife Jennifer Esposito back in 2007 after only four months of marriage. Renee divorced husband Kenny Chesney in 2005, citing “fraud.”

“There is no doubt both of these people have not had a great experience being married however, Renee was ready to give it another try with Bradley,” said the source.

“She’s 41 and has an Oscar. She’s starting to think about children and settling down while Bradley loves his life exactly as it is. It’s taken him a long time to be an A-list actor, and he’s enjoying all the perks, fame and opportunities that have come his way following The Hangover.

“They are both in very different places in their lives and unfortunately just grew apart.”
