Brad Womack has chosen his bride!

The hunk who refused to propose to any of the women on season 11 of The Bachelor got down on one knee to ask for Emily Maynard’s hand in marriage.

“You did it!” Emily exulted to Brad, 38 (who was still shaking). “You’re the one, Em,” he said.

At the age of 18, Emily who’s now 24 was engaged to NASCAR driver Ricky Hendrick, who died in a 2004 plane crash. Five days after getting the news, she learned she was pregnant. Daughter Ricki is now 5.

Emily works as an events planner for a children’s hospital in Charlotte, N.C. In the finale, she was up against Chantal O’Brien, 28 who memorably greeted Brad with a slap from “every woman in America.”

On After the Final Rose, it was revealed that Brad and Emily have already broken up once since the finale. Although they’re still engaged, watching him woo the other women on the show has been rough. She’s postponed one wedding date so far. For his part, Brad admits that he has a temper and that the relationship is “volatile.”

Womack’s ex-girlfriend, Laurel Kagay, recently claimed he did The Bachelor for money, not love!

“He called me and he said, ‘I wanna talk to you and your mom.’ So he sat my mom and I down and just poured his heart out, said that everything he’s done was for me, and you know, that he wanted to have children and get married.” Laurel said.

“I gave in again and said, ‘Okay, let’s do this. Let’s work toward getting married and having a life together.’

“I got another text saying, ‘The producers of the [The Bachelor] called and they want me to do the show, and it’s gonna be for a lot of money.”
