Anna Faris was always an “awkward” child.
The 34-year-old actress was constantly ridiculed because she had to wear braces and she admits she hated the attention she got because of her looks.
“I was the awkward kid who was short
and had braces and looked like I was perpetually eight years old. I hated when people laughed at me,” she said.
The House Bunny star also revealed she loves appearing in comedy movies because of the joy the films bring to people, and she likes it when people think she is as stupid as her characters in real-life.
“Keenen Ivory Wayans once told me that ‘There is no vanity in comedy’. When I immerse myself into a character, I really just try to have fun and not judge them. If people think I’m an idiot or a stupid person in real life, then so be it. That’s OK,” she said.
“I like that I get to make products
that are enjoyed by a lot of people and aren’t particularly pretentious. I love that I can use my work to make people happy.”
