50 Cent has urged his fans to spend time with their family following the devastating earthquake in Japan.
A tremor measuring 8.9 on the Richter scale hit off the north east of the country several hours ago, triggering a tsunami which has left many parts of the country devastated. The number of deaths is rising continuously, and countries including New Zealand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Hawaii have been put on tsunami watch as the wave continues its path.
And the In Da Club hitmaker has taken to his Twitter to grieve over the natural disaster.
“Man I hate to say this but the world is coming to an end. Look at Japan tell the people you value you love them,” he said.
“US west coast TUSNAMI watch f*ck this I’m going back to New York. Hawaii under a watch
this sh*t is crazy. I can’t swim (sic).”
50 recently insisted he will never retire from music.
“I don’t think I’ll retire,” he said earlier this year. “I think you should look forward to me going behind the scenes more. I still have passion for music. And the music business itself has changed.
“If you can’t figure out how to develop the brand extension and opportunities that allow you to build up the marketing dollar, I don’t see how you can continue to be a superstar.
“For me, it’s an opportunity. I wrote the screenplays. Before I Self Destruct that was the first one I wrote
and directed.
“I hate to say it’s not my best, but it was done on a budget and that makes it not as… extravagant as some of the things you’ll see from me in the future. But since then I’ve created two other projects: Gun, I wrote that screenplay, and I wrote and produced a film called Love Me, Love Me Not. So I’m looking forward to a lot of different things.”
