Russell Brand puts gardening before sex!

Russell Brand does more gardening than lovemaking since he got married.

The British actor-and-comedian who tied the knot with Katy Perry in India last October claims at the height of his womanizing he would have sex up to 20 times a week, but since settling down he has turned his attention to tending to flower beds instead of messing up real beds.

“I can’t believe I used to have sex 20 times a week, especially now I’m married,” he said. “But now I’m a bloody good gardener. It’s difficult getting used to one person and being in the same house every day.

“See, if she leaves stuff lying around I have to deal with it. And if I leave stuff on the floor I have to pick it up. That confuses me. And she takes ages to get ready. It’s unbelievable. I had no idea what went on, I was never normally around for that bit.”

Russell who claims to have bedded up to five women a day at the “peak” of his sex addiction explained that like his former drug and alcohol habits, he takes his marriage to the 26-year-old beauty “one step at a time”.

“I take it one step at a time like with drugs, like with alcohol,” he said. “Don’t look at things as in ‘rest of life’. Of course marriage is for life and that’s what I wanted, but anything for the rest of life can be daunting.

“We do spend quite a lot of time together. I see her a lot, that’s what marriage is, you like it or lump it. She’s always around. I’ve never been in love before Katy, as now I rate love as being willing to change for someone.”

The 35-year-old star also confessed he is keen to start a family with Katy in the near future.

“Yeah children, that’d be good, wouldn’t it? We haven’t been married very long, we’re both working very hard and I’m still excited and enchanted by her but when we do I’m going to focus on it,” he said.
